Our Story

It Started With One Lake House

TZ Property Management started with a simple goal: buy a lake house. Cody and Brenda looked at every possible way to make it affordable, and short-term rentals turned out to be the answer. The first home worked better than they expected, so they bought a second, and haven't looked back since. Along the way they saw what lake home ownership could really do, from the tax advantages to the appreciation to the weekends actually spent on the water. Cody went on to get his real estate license so he could help other owners follow the same path.

Today we manage lakefront homes across West Michigan, in Cedar Springs, Sand Lake, Belding, Rockford, and on Big Pine Island, working with more than 10 homeowners and hosting over 2,500 guests. We pride ourselves on the details. From the design and setup of each property to the routine cleanings between stays, we stay diligent through the entire process. Every home is clean, fully equipped, and ready the moment you walk in, with hassle-free check-in, 24/7 support, and local tips whenever you want them. We want your stay to be a memory worth sharing.

Cody Zahm

Cody founded TZ Property Management with a vision for exceptional guest experiences and quality homes.

Brenda Tamez

Brenda manages all of TZ Property Management’s accounting and monthly net outs. As a licensed Accountant, she ensures that every property owner receives accurate, detailed, and easy-to-understand financial statements each month. Her attention to detail and expertise provide our owners with a clear picture of their property’s financial performance, giving them confidence that their books are being handled professionally and accurately.

Sergio Guzman

Sergio graduated from Michigan Technological University with an Engineering degree, bringing a unique problem-solving mindset to TZ Property Management. He uses his engineering background to help our guests and owners solve problems they didn’t even know they had. From improving the guest experience to finding better ways to operate each property, Sergio is always looking for ways to make things run smoother. He oversees guest communication, boat rentals, and the day-to-day operations of our properties, helping ensure that both our guests and owners have an exceptional experience from start to finish.
